Nothing beats shopping on a rainy day! Visit the mall in Töcksfors or Charlottenberg, or why not go a little more further away to the wonderful city of Oslo or Karlstad?

Oslo
Oslo is located about 130 km from Årjäng. Travel there by car or by bus from Årjäng centrum. In Oslo you can visit the Fram museum, the Kon-Tiki museum or the Munch museum. Take a stroll on Aker brygge or in the Vigeland Park, go shopping on the main street Karl-Johan which leads all the way up to the Castle. You'll easily get around in Oslo by foot, by subway, or by the tram.

Mariebergsskogen
The town park of Karlstad, which contains cultural buildings, a zoo for the children, places for swimming, open air theatre, forests, hiking trails and a beautiful and educating Naturum, is really worth a visit. Mariebergsskogen, or the Marieberg forest, offer all children to visit their Play garden. In the Play garden there are three gardens, each with a different theme; music, art and litterature. The Play garden inspires the children to create, move around and play.

Rottneros Park
In Rottneros Park in Sunne you can wander around by sculptures, flowers and trees. Enjoy a cup of coffee and hot cinnamon rolls in the café. Let the children play around in the adventure park or let them go for a swim in the lake Fryken.

Sunne Vattenpark
Here you will experience water in many different shapes, a paradise for both young and old. The water temperature is always 25 degrees så you'll never have to worry about being cold. The children's pool offers lots of fun activities for the younger children. Relax and enjoy the sun in one of the park's sunbeds. 

The Ski tunnel in Torsby
In the world's longest, and Sweden's only ski tunnel, you can get a skiing experience out of the ordinary. The skiing tracks are 1,3 km long and follow the natural ground levels of the surrounding area, with 12 metres between the highest and the lowest point. Inside the ski tunnel there is a constant temperature of between 0 to -3 degrees.

Klässbol's linen
Napkins and table cloths from Klässbol in Värmland have for many years been used at the great Nobel party. Swedish and Norwegian embassies all over the world choose products from Klässbol's. Klässbol's delivers to the Swedish court, and also made the special table cloth for the King.

The Trotting Museum
The Nordic Trotting Museum in Årjäng is a modern museum that tells you about the origin of the horse and the great part the horse has played in history. By the museum there is a nice playground and during the summer a small farm. There is also a Trotting school where you can try out trotting.

Ögårn in Dusserud
Ögårn is an estate from the beginning of the 1800s. The oldest building is from 1777. Crosses painted in tar are seen on many places inside the dwelling house. They were said to protect from evil. During the summer there are animals on the farm.

Långelanda District Court
The District Court in Långelanda is Sweden's longest preserved court house. In january 1800 it was decided that a new court house was to be built. It was finished in 1802 and used until 1936. In Långelanda there are three buildings, jail, archives and a court house.
