Experience your fishing adventures with us! From trolling in large lakes to wilderness fishing in deep forests. With almost a thousand lakes we can offer you a rich variety of fishing.
The Nordmarken region is dominated by an extensive series of connected lakes linked to Dalsland's canal. The surrounding forests are filled with numerous woodland lakes. Perch and pike are the most common fish. Every year, perch weighing over 1,5 kg are caught with rod, spinner or jig.
With fly-fishing there are good chances for catching salmon trout. Trout breeds naturally in the region. On a summer evening, fly-fishing with a large fly for cautious trout in a woodland lake is one of the most fantastic experiences you can have!
There are also several "put and take" lakes in the region where you can catch larger fish such as rainbow trout and trout.
Imagine it being very early in the morning. You are standing down by the lake. The temperature is crisp and cool but you keep warm with the coffee from your thermos and a freshly baked cinnamon roll. You're waiting for the fish to bite, but so far everything is calm and quiet. Suddenly you feel a tug at your rod and you prepare for dragging up the first catch of the day. Sounds wonderful, doesn't it?
Fishing cards
Before you can start fishing you need a licence - a fishing card. This licence/card can be bought in our canoe center or in the reception, and you can choose if you want it to be valid for a day, a week or a whole year.
